Mr Melezet's kit

The camping, clothes, technology and carry gear that we are starting the walk with.

Camping equipment. There are parts of the Via, especially in France, where accomodation is sparse at the best of times so it is nice to have the option.

Tent. Lanshan 2 ultralight tent.

Sleeping Mat. Trekology ultralight inflatable.

Air pillow and pillow case.

Sleeping bag and liner.

Clothes. One set on, one set being washed.

Waterproof jacket. Inov-8 lightweight running jacket.

Puffa jacket. Lightweight North Face jacket.

Big floppy hat.

Baseball cap.

2 of shirts, shorts, sox, pants.

Trail shoes. Salomon trail running shoes.

Sandals. Teva.

Technology. For navigation and updating the site.

iPhone.

Samsung phone. For the camera.

Headphones.

Battery pack. 10000mAh.

Garmin (route/distance) and Fitbit (steps) trackers.

USB charger and cables.

Small tripod.

Rucksack and other items.

Rucksack (27L), raincover and hydration system. A bit small, but ensures that everything warrants its place.

Packable rucksack. So we can go out without taking the big rucksacks.

Travel towel.

Sunglasses.

Spare glasses. You pack your fears - lost glasses are mine.

Money and id cards.

Passport.

Wash kit.

Francigena passport.

Sit pad. Weighs nothing and keeps your clothes and rucksack clean.

Swiss army knife. It's a camping trip!

Plastic knife, fork spoon.

Notebook and pen.

The total rucsack weight is 7.4kg 'dry' - i.e. without water. In addition Mrs Melezet is carrying the trekking poles for the tent and a shared laundry kit.
