Switzerland!
It was cold and wet overnight so we took a while to get going today. We grabbed a coffee in the village. It was market day with lots going on.

Breakfast number 2 was in Jougne which was the last village before crossing into Switzerland.
The via crosses the border on a minor road so there was nothing to see and no checks. We got texts from the Swiss telco about covid and that's it.
We stopped to dry the tent and had a very tasty lunch in Ballaigues and then descended into the gorge of the river Orbe.
The trail marking was not good and the path was often very overgrown so progress was slow all afternoon.
The trail follows the face of the gorge and there were lots of bridges and tunnels and paths cut into cliffs with ropes to cling to. Definitely not for the timid.
After some hours we emerged in Orbe and walked the last km uphill to our campsite. The wildlife here is not what we expected. Orbe has a great view south towards the Alps.
TCS Camping Orbe
A busy but well organised site. They recommended the local swimming pool for supper which was a good call.
