Breakfast in a boulangerie and a hop, skip and jump to Calais and the ferry to Dover.

It was an easy, calm crossing and the ship was very well organised to keep people apart.

Today's date: 10.7.20

Weather: cloudy with sunny intervals.

Steps: 9,350

Distance: 3.08 km

Climbing: 4 m

We dropped the car at the hotel and walked to the Cathedral on the via. A nice way to arrive in Canterbury and it takes a few km out of our long day tomorrow.

The Cathedral was just closing (early) but we were allowed in to get stamps and a pic at the start.

The Cathedral is covered in scaffolding and it was a shame that we couldn't get inside as it would have been good to have a more relaxed start to our pilgrimage.

We toured Canterbury which is a pretty city full of interesting buildings and people.
